The Original Warden Pear by Margaret Roberts is sold in aid of The Warden Abbey Community Vineyard in Bedfordshire. 100% profits go to that charity. They control the sales and hold copyright to the book. Although most of the books are sold through local venues and at the vineyard open days, it is also available on Amazon too.
Kinghorn Lunchclub Social Memories by Yvonne Georgeson is a compilation of life stories written by the elderly members of this lunchclub. The publication of this little book during the lock down was perfect timing, because it lifted the spirits of those who were isolated. 100% of the proceeds go to the club. It is mainly sold locally but it is also available on Amazon.
Authors who give part or all of the profits to charity
Author Diana Jackson has always supported causes close to her heart.
The Life and Demise of Norman Campbell published in 2012 and the majority were given or sold to family all over the world but 25% was given to Cancer Research UK in the first year of publication.
The Healing Paths of Fife published in 2017 gives 100% of gross profits from local booksales, orders through bookshops and on Amazon and has raised £673 to date to local causes, mainly The Kirkcaldy Foodbank. This is gross profit. We only charge for the price of the printed book.
