Winner to our first on line ‘Life is Just … Competition

Here are the entries to the ‘Life is Just … competition. The rules were just to finish the phrase without being rude or swear!

Here are the entries:

LIFE IS           OR LIFE IS JUST …

 ‏@VicPetit  … an anagram of file …

@RoseEnglishUKauthor ‘Life is Just Rosy’

@EllaMarieR Full of Surprises’?

Eric Smith The other little point of note Diana, life’s a bowl of cherries. :))

Colin van Geffen Life is what happens while you’re making other plans – John Lennon

Steve Hudson My favourite ( from 1970 – hippy era)

“Life is but a beanstalk, man!”
I think the ‘but’ gives a rather existential twist to it. The lovely (Keswick Hall) man who coined it, unfortunately is no longer with us.

Alex Rychlewski There’s a classic French one, but it’s quite rude and pessimistic, so I’ll refrain smile emoticon.

Peter Arnold I also like hearing people come up with mixed metaphores and sayings I have a friend who says ‘it buggers belief’

Eric Smith A thing of beauty is a joy forever! Or how about, Time and tide wait for no man!

Pamela Gilmour Life is just empty without someone to love & share it with.

Paul Fellows: Life is like an onion. It has many layers and all of them stink!

And the winner, chosen by author of

‘Life is Just…’ Nigel Lesmoir Gordon’:

Colin van Geffen ‘Life is what happens while you’re making other plans’ – John Lennon

Why? because it not only  reflects Nigel’s novel ‘Life is Just…‘ perfectly but it is also of the same era – the 1960’s.

Congratulations Colin. Please email eventispress@outlook.com and we’ll send you a Kindle voucher to buy ‘Life is Just…’

If you didn’t win you can find it on amazon.co.uk

Well done Colin and all the other entrants. There will be another competition soon!
